Question 5

What project(s) are your currently involved with? What types of things do you do? Why did you choose this project? Why do you keep going back? What makes this project special?

Janet S.

The Master Gardener propagation project at the Las Vegas Springs Preserve is working in "the real dirt of Las Vegas." This was my first experience after completing the MG training. I continue with the satisfaction that we are recognizing or highlighting the native plants of the Mojave proving that it is not a bare environment. Through this program, vibrant and colorful native plants are available to residential and commercial properties, eliminating the need to plant imported and inappropriate vegetation. Have to add the social benefits of working with interesting people in the MG program and the Water Authority. We laugh and share a lot of our varied experiences while working in the dirt.
